Little insects that make a big difference

Updated: Nov 8, 2021

I recently read an article in Wokingham Today about two local bee keepers and it made me think, where do I know that could be a good site for some bee hives? Tie that in with the "Climate Emergency" declared by WBC, among others, and then consider that Arborfield and Newland Parish Council are responsible for looking after the "Old Church Yard" at Hall Farm and a possible plan begins to form.

This site is fairly out of the way, fenced off, quite overgrown, and surrounded by fields and gardens. With a bit of work there could be many more bee friendly plants here too.

It would require some looking after, but I would like to give it a go, and A&NPC are happy to let me try. Does anyone else on here have experience of bee keeping that would be willing to offer a little advice or help? Email me on affordableandsustainable@gmail.com if you do.
